Text Messaging Terms

These Text Messaging Terms apply to text messages (SMS/MMS) sent by Be Small (Chris Unseth, doing business as Be Small) on behalf of churches and ministries that use app.besmall.org. They are part of our Terms of Service.

Program Description

The Be Small small-groups program sends text messages about the small groups you belong to, such as group announcements from your leaders and meeting reminders. Messages are informational, not marketing.

How You Opt In

Texts are sent only if you choose to receive them. To opt in, sign in at app.besmall.org, open your Me page, enter your mobile number, and check the box that reads: "Text me group updates. By checking this box you agree to receive text messages from [your church] about your small group at the number above. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help." No one else can opt you in. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of joining a group or using the Services.

Message Frequency and Costs

Message frequency varies, typically a few messages per week for each group you belong to. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed. You can also turn texts off on your Me page. To opt back in, reply START or re-check the box on your Me page.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by factors outside our control. Supported carriers may change.

Privacy

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share mobile numbers only with the messaging provider that delivers texts on our behalf. See our Privacy Policy.

Your Responsibilities

You must be the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide, and you agree to tell us promptly if you change or give up that number. Be Small is not liable for messages sent to a number you provided that is no longer yours.
